Core concepts
Library
Your Library is the home for all your content - everything you do in Anara takes place in the library. It’s your space to organize your research materials the way you want.
Folders
Folders are your top level organizational containers, housing all your research projects or broad subject areas. Beyond organization they allow you to combine related files into a single AI assistant, enabling quick cross-referencing and search. You can find a full rundown of how this works here.
Private vs Team folders
Teams users have the option to create both “Private” and “Team” folders. All content inside a Team folder and nested subfolders is accessible by your team. Learn more about teams here.
Files
Files are the basic building blocks of content in Anara. These are your research materials. They can be imported documents (like PDFs or PowerPoints), media (images, video, audio), or notes you write directly inside Anara. You can find a complete list of supported file types here.
Notes provide a blank canvas for any content you want to write. You can create a new note either by clicking the + icon in the left sidebar or through the “Home” page. Notes behave the same way as files - you can chat with the contents to quickly find and understand information.
