A new way to chat with Anara

A new way to chat with Anara

Since our last update, we introduced an entirely new way to chat with Anara. You can now create chats without having to import a file. Responses are drawn from the context of all files in your library so you can quickly understand and find information across everything you read and write about on Anara.

By default you’re interacting with your library but you can change the “Knowledge” using the knowledge dropdown at the bottom of the chat input. Choose from “Library”, “General knowledge” and “User guide” depending on your query.

This update also comes with a new “Chat” file type. When you create a chat using the methods outlined above, the new chat appears in your sidebar so you can easily come back to it in the future.

Improvements

  • Multiple improvements to flashcard and note generation, including increased flashcard count limits and better visual indicators during content creation.
  • Chat input drafts are now automatically saved when switching between files, allowing you to easily return to your prompts later.
  • Updated video timestamp formatting in chat responses to use sequential numbering, matching our recent change to page reference numbers.
  • Added new notification component for feature announcements and important updates.
  • Redesigned free user usage component in sidebar to take up less space while still showing limits.
  • Added margin spacing above reference highlights to ensure text appears centered when navigating to document references.
  • Updated our paywalls to include pricing plan options directly within the app, eliminating the need to visit a separate pricing page.
  • Improved chat loading with a new animated loader and clearer "Reasoning" status indicator.
  • We now save draft messages in the chat input so you can switch between files without losing draft prompts.

Fixes

  • Fixed LaTeX rendering in the chat messages that was causing formatting issues with mathematical content.
  • Fixed loading issues for chats with many messages by implementing progressive message loading when scrolling up.
  • Fixed issue where long URLs weren't wrapping properly in chat, causing horizontal scrolling.
  • Fixed intermittent app freezing issues that previously required refreshing the page.
