Anara 2.0 — Agents for scientific advancement

Today, we take the first step toward making Anara the platform where AI agents can be deployed and managed across research workflows.

Whether you're completing a literature review, exploring a new scientific domain, or preparing for an exam, these agents are designed to work alongside you in your Anara workspace.

Introducing our agents

Type "@" or click "@ Mention" to bring an agent into your workflow. Each one has it’s own specialization:

  • @ Research Ask complex questions to get a comprehensive, synthesized answer drawn from your library, the web, and millions of academic papers.
  • @ Search Workspace Instantly find any piece of information across all of the files and notes saved in your library.
  • @ Search Web Find accurate, up-to-date answers to any question using information from the internet.
  • @ Search Papers Search millions of papers from major academic databases like PubMed, arXiv and JSTOR.
  • @ Search YouTube Find relevant YouTube videos and quickly extract and apply information from them.
  • @ Complete Form Provide a template or a list of questions and this agent will systematically find the answers and organize them into a final, structured response.
  • @ Create Citation Point to a file (or a group of files), and this agent will instantly generate properly formatted academic citations in your preferred citation style.
  • @ Create Flashcards Turn notes, documents, or YouTube videos into a set of flashcards and multiple-choice questions.

Source settings

We know how important it is to have complete control over where AI draws information. So we made it simple to customize your sources; you can now toggle your notes/files, internet access, and the AI’s general knowledge on or off.

When chatting with specific files and folders, responses will continue to be drawn only from the file or folder that’s in view.

Flashcards

We’re introducing a new “flashcards” file type with this update. Upload lecture slides, textbooks, or videos, and then ask Anara to create flashcards and practice quizzes tailored to your specific materials.

You can create various card types including multiple choice, pairing question and answer, fill-in-the-blank, and true/false statements to help you prepare for exams.

Library has a new home

You’ll notice the home page has a new look. We’ve separated the library view and the chat input into distinct pages for a simpler, cleaner experience.

Simply click 'Library' in the left sidebar to access your complete collection where you can view, sort, and filter all your files in one dedicated space.

Some little big updates

This update includes several small yet significant improvements:

You can now refresh the page, close and reopen the window, and navigate to other areas of the app while responses are loading without losing any content. Simply return to the chat at any point to complete loading or review the final response.

Anara can now extract information directly from URLs in the chat. Paste any link into the chat, and Anara will read and analyze the content for you - no need to manually import web pages.

This update also brings some improvements to our free tier. We’ve replaced the daily word limit with a simpler query-based system: you'll now get 10 ‘Basic’ queries per day with lower intelligence models and 4 ‘Pro’ messages with using our most advanced AI models.

Finally, we've doubled the daily import limit from 5 to 10 files, making it easier to build your library.
