Table view improvements and edit mode

Table view improvements and edit mode

Following the launch of table view, we spent the last two weeks focused on improvements and bug fixes. We made various updates across table view and related features.

We're also happy to introduce “Edit Mode”. You can now edit notes directly from chat using AI - when viewing a note, simply open the chat and select "Edit" to modify your content. For example, you can ask it to convert a technical document into a simple summary or rewrite a paragraph to match your brand's voice.

Improvements

  • The app now uses a single, full-page loader when loading content, replacing the multiple scattered indicators.
  • Added folder column to table view showing which folder each file belongs to, with clickable folder names for quick navigation.
  • Added tags column to table view showing file tags, with each tag clickable to filter by files with the same tag
  • Summary and author cells in table view now update as soon as the content is available, rather than requiring a page refresh.
  • Added ability to select text from expanded cells in table view.
  • You can now rename and delete conversations from a new quick action menu in the chat history popover menu.
  • Added ability to drag and drop column titles in the view menu to reorder table columns.
  • Changed "Ask AI" in search menu to open a new chat with library instead of generating an inline response.
  • Improved folder renaming experience with automatic input focus, disabled password auto-fill, and fixed menu reopening issues.
  • The app will no longer automatically navigate away from your current view after a file import is complete.
  • Added confirmation modal when editing previous messages to warn you that chat responses will be overwritten.
  • The left sidebar now opens automatically when you create a new folder.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where chat history was not maintained when chatting with library items for some users.
  • Resolved a bug where editing a previous chat message would fail to apply the proper context.
  • Fixed an issue where filters in the table view were not working correctly for some users.
  • Fixed an issue where imported documents could temporarily disappear from the table after navigating to a different page.
  • Resolved an issue causing citations in editor reference section to infinitely load for some users.
  • Fixed an issue in the PDF viewer where highlighting text would incorrectly cause the page to scroll to the top.
  • Fixed an issue where using backspace to move to a previous bullet point in the editor would incorrectly jump to the heading.
  • Fixed an bug that could cause items selected in table view to appear duplicated.
  • Fixed an issue where LaTeX math equations were not rendering correctly in chat.
  • Resolved an issue where line breaks were not being preserved in sent chat messages.
