Revamped right sidebar and major performance improvements

We're excited to announce a significant upgrade to the right sidebar with a new tabbed interface. It now includes "Details" and "Related" tabs. Details shows comprehensive citation details (like author, publication info, DOI, links, summaries, and tags).

The Related tab makes it easier to find connected research by showing papers that cite the document in view, papers cited in the document and additional relevant publications from across the internet.

This week we moved our billing operations from Unriddle Ltd to Anara Labs, Inc. There's nothing you need to do on your end. You may notice our company name appears differently on your billing statements, but this won't affect your subscription status or payment details.

Improvements

  • You can now quickly preview citations in the editor by simply hovering your mouse over them, similar to how it works in the chat.
  • We improved how we automatically retrieve information about files in your library (e.g. Authors, Abstract, Publishing Journal). You should see much more information in the right sidebar for recent and future imports.
  • We significantly improved the performance of the left sidebar, especially for users with many files. It should now load much faster and scroll more smoothly.
  • Improved Anara’s ability to follow specific instructions in your prompts, particularly regarding constraints like desired word count and citation formatting.
  • Your work in the editor will now be saved more frequently, creating a new recovery point every 10 minutes. This provides better protection against accidental data loss and makes it easier to restore previous versions.
  • When selecting an AI model in the settings, you'll now see descriptions for each model directly within the dropdown list, replicating the change we made last week to the model dropdown in the chat input.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Anara might not have remembered the full context of the current chat conversation, ensuring more relevant and consistent responses.
  • Fixed issues with exporting content from the text editor. In-line citations are now correctly included and formatted when exporting to both Word (.docx) and PDF files.
  • Fixed an error causing transcription to fail in some cases for audio recording and audio and video imports.
  • Resolved an issue where Anara could sometimes add an excessive number of citation references within a single sentence.
