Chat steering, parallel tasks, and more languages on iOS
This week, we're introducing a new agent behind chat, more control over how you read your sources, and 31 additional languages on iPhone and iPad.
A new agent behind chat
We've rebuilt the agent behind chat to coordinate research across multiple topics and sources. It can work on several parts of your request at once, with each task pursuing a different question or set of sources. One task might explore an explanation while another looks for evidence that challenges it.
Anara brings the findings together in the same chat, so you can explore several lines of inquiry without managing separate conversations.
You no longer have to wait for Anara to finish its response before you reply. Send another message to add a detail you forgot, narrow the question, or ask it to take a different approach. Anara picks up your message and adjusts its work without starting over.
More PDF reader improvements
Following last week's PDF reader update, you can now keep a PDF's original colors while using Anara in dark mode, so charts and figures look as their authors intended. Open the three-dot menu in the PDF viewer and choose Keep original colors. Anara remembers your choice for that PDF in your browser.
Search now loads the remaining matches as you scroll through the results, and comments stay in place when you return to a highlight. Large spreadsheets are easier to work with too: you can edit cells and manage sheets in workbooks where those controls were previously unavailable.
iOS in 31 more languages
Anara for iPhone and iPad now supports 31 additional languages. Choose yours in Settings → Preferences → Language.
You can also return to recent chats and saved PDFs when you're offline, with search across saved chat and document names. New answers still need an internet connection. When you're back in a conversation, swipe to quote a passage in your next message, or dictate a question and review it before sending.
